Bridesmaids and Groomsmen
Ms. Chrisanna Calandro, Maid of Honor

I’ve always been thankful God gave me a best friend when He gave me a sister! Chrisanna is always planning an adventure or ready to join anyone else’s! She has the kindest heart for others and if you haven’t heard all of her laughs, you’re missing out!
Mr. Jason Larman, Best Man

I’ve respected Jason since before he married my sister Sarah. I’m so grateful for his friendship and for the way he has long encouraged me to pursue God, even over long distances. And I appreciate how he listens and also pushes me when that’s what’s needed.
Ms. Kelsey Creel

For Vanderbilt freshman housing, we could choose a roommate, but we didn’t get much say about our neighbors. And I’m so glad we didn’t because I couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor! Since that first week at Vandy, we have talked about everything, debated about most things, and laughed about the little things. She’s a wonderful go-to for encouragement, a movie quote, and a book recommendation.
Mr. Steven Rogers

Steve was my first roommate (from when I was born until he married Angie). I’m so grateful that God let me grow up with him as my older brother, to look up to and to learn from. I especially look up to the way he follows God whole-heartedly, and I really want to follow his example.
Mrs. Kristen Diaz

We met the summer before 4th grade (in 2001 if anyone wants to do the math…) at a Girl Scouts meeting and that was such a wonderful beginning to our friendship! We’ve been through highs of life and lows of life together and it would be hard to find a more loyal friend than Kristen, our “friendship glue.”
Mr. David Rogers

Dave always looked out for me when we were growing up, especially if I was being picked on. I really respect how responsible he is as a husband (to Becky), as a dad, and in serving at church. He’s a real example to me of what it means to be hard-working and sacrificial, using his gifts for the good of others.
Mrs. Alexandra Strange

We became friends in 4th grade through many slumber parties and laughs. And the fun times have continued! She’s the champ who has visited me in Nashville and in Bogota (and the first to meet Mark last March!)! It’s always a joyful, Christ-filled conversation with Alexandra!
Mr. Wilmer Urrego

God brought Wilmer into my life at a time when I really needed a brother close by. I’m so glad he became such a good friend in such a short time. And then he became my brother-in-law when he married Deb! I appreciate his perspective, his listening ear, and the way he cares for my little sister.
Mrs. Julianne Elson

I got to know Julianne in junior high volleyball as we struggled through the awkwardness of 8th grade. Since then I have been blessed by her desire to know and be like Jesus and her passion for teaching is contagious!
Mr. Mauricio Parada

Mauricio is my brother who’s technically not related to me, but who God gave me in Bogotá. Beyond sharing a similar taste in really fine jokes, I appreciate his honesty, loyalty, and contagious love for the Lord.
Mrs. Lauren Leinenbach

Since fourth grade Lauren has been an adopted Calandro and has spent many days at the Calandro “pet farm.” She is always ready to listen and laugh about life! Even states and countries apart, she makes sure to keep our friendship strong.
Mr. Paul Brinkerhoff

Even before marrying my sister Beth, Paul was a genuine friend to me. Although I was still in my early teens at the time, he treated me like an adult. I’ve always appreciated his thoughtfulness, especially about Scripture, and I look up to his steadfastness.
Ms. Victoria Flores

God was so so good to have Tori and I move to Bogota to teach at ECA the same year. We have been through the highs and lows of teaching, living abroad, and dating together and my life has more joy and more Jesus because of her!
Mr. Isaías Bolio

Moy is always ready to listen and to share advice. I’m so grateful for his and Becky’s encouragement over the years that God’s timing and ways are perfect; they were right! I so appreciate every time we get to visit; our talks are always so encouraging.
Mrs. Aimee Loock

Aimee and I started classes at Vandy together and quickly became friends! Through the years, I have been blessed by her amazing God-given ability to ask meaningful questions and listen intently to the answer. And she’s just become the best mamma!
Mr. Christian Ramírez

Christian is such a genuinely friendly person. And he really cares about others. I’m so grateful for his friendship and input into my life. I value his friendship because I value his example, his Christ-centeredness, his godly advice, and his practical love for others.
Mr. Rick Larman, Pre-Marital Counselor
We are so grateful for Rick: his wisdom and his friendship, especially in guiding us through our pre-marital counseling and encouraging us to build a strong basis for a Christ-honoring marriage.
